Phoenix, AZ (June 18, 2015) – BestCompaniesAZ is now enrolling corporate sponsors for its upcoming Annual Diversity & Inclusion Career Event, being held on August 13 at the Hyatt Regency, 122 North Second St., Phoenix, AZ, 85004, 11:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. One of four quarterly events hosted by BestCompaniesAZ this year, the Diversity & Inclusion Career Event, is free to job seekers who register in advance. Hiring companies receive a list and resumes of qualified candidates generated by the event.
To be eligible for participation, sponsoring companies must have programs in place that support diversity and/or have earned at least one prestigious state or national workplace award. Most employers have earned many workplace honors, such as Diversity Inc.’s Top 50, Arizona’s Most Admired Companies, CareerBuilder’s Top Companies to Work for in Arizona, Arizona’s Best Companies to Watch, FORTUNE 100 Best Companies to Work For(R) in America, FORTUNE Most Admired Companies, US Veterans Magazine’s Best of the Best, among others.

Each event typically attracts high-growth corporate sponsors that are either headquartered in Arizona, or have a strong regional presence in the greater Phoenix area. At BestCompaniesAZ Career Events, there are hundreds of open positions, at all levels, in the fields of finance, IT, healthcare, customer service/client relations, sales and hospitality. The format of each event allows recruiters and company representatives to meet with candidates and share information about careers, corporate culture and the range of available opportunities.
On event day, registration and on-site check-in begins at 11:30 a.m. From noon to 12:30 p.m., Platinum and Gold sponsors are invited to feature a speaker from their company who can enlighten job seekers about unique aspects of their workplace, opportunities, and the types of soft skills they look for in candidates. Following that, additional career networking is available one-on-one until 2 p.m.

Also leading up to and on-site at each event, the nonprofit Career Connectors volunteers free coaching and resume services to job candidates.
