Woburn, MA – February 19, 2015 – HealthcareSource(R), the leading provider of talent management solutions for the healthcare industry, has announced the addition of more than 1,400 new courses to their HealthcareSource eLearning Library℠ with more than 2,000 additional courses receiving updates during the 2014 calendar year.
These new additions bring the total number of eLearning course available from HealthcareSource to more than 5,500, covering the full scope of healthcare organizations’ education and training needs. This includes clinical and non-clinical compliance, coding and reimbursement, continuing nursing education, clinical reference, physician, leadership topics, and more. In addition, the eLearning Library has partnerships with industry-leading organizations to provide users with access to award-winning, world-class, online education.
“The eLearning Library provides a one-stop source for all of the online education healthcare organizations may need or want,” said Michelle Leavitt, Director of eLearning Strategy at HealthcareSource. “In 2014 we released five times as many new courses as compared to any previous year and released updates to more than 50 percent of our existing library, demonstrating HealthcareSource’s commitment to delivering the best and most current content in the industry.”
The catalog’s growth was focused primarily on clinical offerings which will continue to be an area of significant development in 2015. Additionally, new eLearning Library courses are also available on regulatory compliance and ICD-10 education:
– Regulatory Compliance – Each course in HealthcareSource’s “2015 Premium Compliance Course Package” has been reviewed by carefully selected subject matter experts and fully updated to ensure the courses fulfill all regulatory training requirements around environment of care, patient privacy, safety, infection control and other topics. The courses in this series are fully customizable and include the exclusive Minute Mandatories(TM) feature, allowing more experienced staff to complete their annual compliance training more efficiently by focusing on the new regulations while still highlighting components which have stayed the same.
– ICD-10 Education – HealthcareSource has added five new ICD-10 focused courses to the catalog. Four of the new courses provide targeted education for non-coding revenue cycle professionals within healthcare organizations. The fifth course proves more general training, appropriate for employees in all workgroups of an organization, and demonstrates how non-HIM roles will be affected by the upcoming changes.
– “Documenting for ICD-10 for Physicians” courses, “ICD-10 Basics Bootcamp for Coders” courses, and “ICD-10 Certified Coder Bootcamp” courses have also received significant updates this year.
HealthcareSource holds quarterly webinars for current clients announcing the latest additions to the eLearning Library and highlighting some of the upcoming releases. Next quarter’s webinar is scheduled for April 29, 2015 at 2 p.m. EST. Registration is currently open.
