Expert Panel to share experience and insights on managing downsizing and restructuring at September 20 event at the National Arts Centre; live webinar added in response to demand
OTTAWA, CAN / September 8, 2011 – Competency-based HR and Organizational Design experts from Human Resource Systems Group (HRSG) will share valuable knowledge and advice on dealing with the biggest issues facing today’s public service: downsizing, right sizing, cutbacks and restructuring.
The September 20 seminar has garnered such an overwhelming response that the event has been moved to a larger venue to accommodate the growing number of participants. A live webinar will also be made available to accommodate participants located across Canada.
To be held at the National Arts Centre, five HRSG expert panel members will share decades of knowledge and experience in downsizing and restructuring organizations and programs in the public service. The panel discussions will cover three main topics: Organizational Review and Restructuring, Identifying Your Talent Requirements, and Coping with Change-The Human Factor. Each topic will also include a detailed case study exploration. Participants will have the opportunity to participate in discussions to gain insight on developing their deficit reduction action plan to deal with the critical challenges facing their organizations.
Due to the highly relevant topics being presented, organizations such as the International Personnel Management Association (IPMA) – Canada, Association of Professional Executives of the Public Service of Canada (APEX), and the Human Resources Council have been supportive in recognizing the need for the event by circulating invitations to their members.
