HRSG Webinar Series to Help Managers and Executives Deal with Downsizing in the Public Service

OTTAWA, CAN/March 16, 2012 – Ottawa-based Human Resource Systems Group (HRSG), in partnership with the Association of Professional Executives of the Public Service of Canada (APEX), is pleased to offer a webinar series, ‘Managing Downsizing in the Public Service,’ to assist executives and senior managers in managing downsizing.

Building on the success of HRSG’s September event which attracted over 200 Canadian federal public service managers and executives, this series is garnering much attention from leaders in the federal government responsible for managing the impending organizational transformation. Featuring former public servants and consultants with extensive federal government experience in managing downsizing, this series of seven 1-hour webinars provides advice, tactics, and specific information regarding the challenges associated with this type of transformation. Participants are invited to share their challenges and issues in a confidential environment, and engage in discussion on a number of hot button issues.

“To date, the webinars have received great feedback from participants and stimulated very interesting dialogues about the challenges facing the public service as everyone awaits the budget announcements at the end of the month,” says Christine Lamothe, one of the event organizers.
