(Cambridge, MA) — The 40-year innovator of advanced methods for developing leaders, Interaction Associates (IA), announced the latest in its series “LeaderLens,” a monthly webinar series with leading innovators on issues and trends around leadership. LeaderLens takes place the fourth Wednesday of each month and is free of charge.
The October LeaderLens features Josh Summers, discussing mindfulness as a cognitive strategy for increasing performance and decision making in business. The episode will touch on the neuro-science behind reflective behaviors, and will explore how creating more attentiveness leads to more effective leadership. Josh Summers co-wrote “The Buddha’s Playbook: Strategies for Enlightened Living,” and is founder of Sati Solutions, a mindfulness-based strategy firm. Register here for LeaderLens.
“Mindfulness for leaders is extremely important in times of stress and uncertainty,” said Linda Dunkel, President and CEO of Interaction Associates. “Through mindfulness, leaders can gain clarity, calm, and focus, despite the turbulent economic times or uncertainty within a company. We advocate to business leaders the concept of ‘go slow to go fast’ —-and mindfulness can be a part of that strategy,” she added.
The 30-minute conversation will be conducted online Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at 10 am Pacific Time, 1 p.m. Eastern. Conversational and informal in nature, the dialogues with important thought leaders are guided by Ashley Welch, Director, Leadership and Sustainability, Interaction Associates.
Past LeaderLens guests include Raj Sisodia, founder of the Conscious Capitalism Institute, Charlie Piscatello, Chief People Officer of PetCo, Leslie Alfin, an expert in design thinking, and Sara Schley, an expert on systems thinking. Recorded LeaderLens webinars are available free at http://www.interactionassociates.com/ideas.
