Minneapolis, MN, February 23, 2011 — Modern Survey values perspective. Every day our human capital measurement solutions mine the perspectives of individuals to create valuable sets of data that our clients use to take action and make improvements at their organizations. In essence, we’re in the business of listening. So when it comes to flexing our own expertise, it only makes sense that we reach out for a little perspective first.
Over the past few years, Modern Survey’s studies of employee engagement levels in the U.S. workforce have revealed some fascinating glimpses into the psychology of the American worker. These studies have received considerable attention in the media, including coverage from Harvard Business Publishing, Human Resource Executive Magazine and the Star Tribune, and has even been used to brief the Federal Reserve Bank. Modern Survey made t! he decision to supplement these research findings with the insights of HR leaders representing a variety of industries. To this end, Modern Survey conducted closed-door executive roundtable discussions to promote conversation amongst leaders and gather their thoughts on the trends we’ve uncovered. These conversations have engendered a richer understanding of how employee engagement works in the field and the value both for Modern Survey and the participants themselves has been immense. Due to the overwhelming success and demand for these gatherings, Modern Survey is pleased to announce the continuation and expansion of the executive roundtable series into 2011 and beyond.
Of the four roundtable discussions Modern Survey hosted in 2010, each was focused on the topic of employee engagement. Attendees included HR leaders from industries such as finance, retail, healthcare, technology, food service and energy. In 2011, Modern Survey is looking to expand on these gatherings, both in frequency and scope. Throughout the year we’ll be bringing in expert voices to help us better understand the challenges that employees and organizations face, and the practices that best suit the many individual preferences that exist. Our target for 2011 includes 10-12 roundtable discussions on such topics as employee engagement, generational differences in the workplace and performance management.
