EDISON, New Jersey / April 24, 2012—Public sector HR leaders are invited to participate in a special roundtable discussion, “Public Sector HR Closes the Budget Gap,”during the sixth annual HRO Today Forum & Workforce Congress in Washington, D.C., April 30-May 2.
As agencies at all levels work to close widening budget gaps, HR leaders often find themselves on the frontlines, as managers of their own budgets and as strategic advisors to executives on how to best structure the workforce. These decisions have far-reaching consequences and impact the daily lives of not only employees but all Americans.
In light of these realities, the HRO Today Forum has created this special roundtable for public sector HR leaders. The mission of this invitation-only event is to gather the heads of HR from other federal, state, and local governments to find solutions to growing public sector debt while improving the lives of citizens and employees. Participants will come together to hear the latest data, learn from and dialog with peers, and construct real action plans.
David DiSalvo, director of the People First Team for the Florida Department of Managed Services, and Keith Strodtman, a Research Fellow at HfS Research, will lead the roundtable discussion. HfS Research is the foremost analyst advisory organization and social networking community, focused on helping enterprises make complex decisions with their business process operations governance, IT services, outsourcing and shared services strategies.
In addition to “Public Sector HR Closes the Budget Gap,” public sector HR leaders are invited to join the main Forum to connect with their private-sector peers and hear keynotes from:
· Former US Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle
· Deloitte CEO Emeritus and author of “As One,” Jim Quigley
· Assistant Secretary of Education Brenda Dann-Messier
“The recession has left federal, state and local governments with big holes in their budgets,” said Richard Crespin, president of SharedXpertise and chairman of the HRO Today Forum. “The solutions we’ll hear at the Forum have proven successful in closing those budget gaps while minimizing the impact on government workers and services.”
Government HR leaders may attend the Forum and all its sessions free of charge by visiting www.hrotodayforum.com and entering the code PUBSEC on the registration page.
